A local crew, on this coast, for the long haul
Coast Auto Recovery started as one truck answering calls on the Great Ocean Road at night. It's grown, but the job hasn't changed get to people quickly, handle the vehicle properly, and be the crew trusted by leading roadside assistance and automotive organisations.
Why Adam started Coast Auto Recovery
Adam founded Coast Auto Recovery in 2022 to give Lorne and the Great Ocean Road a recovery service that could be trusted by leading roadside assistance and automotive organisations professional, on time, and properly equipped for whatever the coast throws at it.
He's on the road personally on most jobs, which is part of why the business has grown into a business proud to provide RACV Assist services in the Lorne area and support NRMA and other industry networks.
"Be reliable. Work safely. Treat every vehicle with care. Do the job properly."Coast Auto Recovery
When your vehicle stops, our job starts.
There's no script for a breakdown. Every call is a different vehicle, a different stretch of road, a different person on the other end of the phone sometimes calm, sometimes not. Our approach starts with listening long enough to know what's actually needed before a truck ever leaves the yard.
From there, it's about doing the job properly rather than quickly for its own sake. That means the right equipment for the vehicle in front of us, an operator who knows this exact stretch of coast, and a habit of communicating clearly what's happening, how long it'll take, and what happens next.
It's the same approach whether the call comes from a stranded tourist at midnight or a fleet manager coordinating vehicles across the region: show up, assess it properly, and leave the situation better than we found it.
We know this road because we work it every day
The Great Ocean Road doesn't behave like a normal stretch of highway hairpin bends, patchy signal, weather that turns fast. Knowing that terrain is only useful backed by the right equipment and training to act on it.

We acknowledge the Eastern Maar people, including the Gadubanud Traditional Owners, as the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters on which Coast Auto Recovery operates in and around Lorne. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples.
